First steps to diving?

Let’s start in our swimming pool!

Apart from renting the apartments, ‘Vakantie Costa Brava rental Services’ also organizes diving courses. The owner of ‘Vakantie Costa Brava Rental Services’, Louis Verboon, is a licensed PDIC (Professional Diving Instructors Corporation) instructor and is therefore authorized to organize PDIC exams and issue PDIC licenses.

Of course you can also enjoy diving without being PADI licensed! If you have no experience at all we will start off in our swimming pool. Here we will learn you how to gear up your equipment and we will start with the basic principles of diving. Once we feel you have all this under control we will head towards the open water.

Diving in the sea!

The ultimate goal of course is diving into the Mediterranean sea. L’Estartit is known for being one of the most beautiful diving spots in the world. Especially the location of the Medes Islands, located on just one kilometer off shore, makes the spot unique for diving. The Medes Islands – of which you can see a picture on your right – are among the most important marine reserves in the Mediterranean, both in terms of flora and fauna. The archipelago is a paradise for divers with its rich underwater world and numerous tunnels and caves.

‘Vakantie Costa Brava’ has its own boat to do diving excursions towards the Medes Islands. 

And don’t forget, even if you dive or not, you will always have a beautiful view on the Medes Islands from your terrace!
